What is testosterone replacement?

Low testosterone can bring tiredness, low sex drive, loss of muscle and changes in mood, but so can many other things. Guidelines call for symptoms plus two early-morning blood tests showing low levels before treatment starts.

If therapy is right for you, your provider prescribes testosterone injections, sets your dose and orders follow-up blood work so treatment stays effective and safe.

Who it may be prescribed for

  • Men with symptoms of low testosterone
  • Men with two low early-morning testosterone results
  • Men who are not trying to conceive

How it works

Get your treatment in three simple steps

  1. 01

    Answer a few health questions

Tell us about your health, medicines and goals in an online questionnaire that takes about ten minutes.

  2. 02

    A licensed provider reviews it

A U.S.-licensed provider in your state reviews your answers, usually within about 24 hours, and messages you if they need more.

  3. 03

    Your treatment ships to you

If treatment is right for you, a licensed pharmacy prepares it and ships it to your door with clear instructions.

Important safety information

Testosterone therapy can raise your red blood cell count, worsen sleep apnea, and cause acne, breast tenderness or swelling. It lowers sperm production and can affect fertility, so it is not suitable for men trying to conceive. It is not used in men with prostate or breast cancer. Regular blood tests are part of treatment.
